After spending more than 25 years teaching young children, Pam Saxelby decided to shift gears and start writing books for them. “I’ve always loved kids’ picture books,” says Saxelby. “When I was teaching, I designed my curriculum around the newest and best books. My husband joked that I never made any money teaching because it all went towards increasing the size of my children’s book library.”
